This page provides guidance on the fastest and most secure way to integrate Flat for Education with your Learning Management System (LMS) using the modern LTI 1.3 standard.

What is Dynamic Registration?

We have implemented LTI 1.3 Dynamic Registration to significantly streamline the configuration process. This feature allows your LMS (Canvas, Moodle, etc.) to automatically exchange all necessary configuration and security keys with Flat for Education.

Benefit: This automation replaces the manual, multi-step exchange of technical keys, saving hours of administrative time and ensuring a secure connection across your entire institution.

The Dynamic Registration Process

As an administrator, you only need one piece of information from us.

1. As an administrator, you only need one piece of information: the Dynamic Registration URL.
2. Locate Registration: In your LMS Admin Panel (e.g., Canvas Developer Keys or Moodle LTI Registration settings), navigate to the LTI Tool Registration area.
3. Use Our Link: When prompted for the tool's registration information, use the Dynamic Registration URL found in your Flat for Education Integrations Settings page.
4. Confirm Details: The LMS will automatically pull all required details (keyset URL, domain, etc.). Review and confirm the registration within your LMS.
5. Finalize & Deploy: After registration, you will complete the final setup steps required by your LMS (e.g., obtaining the Client ID, creating the Deployment, and deploying the tool to the desired sub-accounts or courses).
